Hubballi: Get ready for a spectacle of color and joy as the Hubballi sky transforms into a canvas of soaring kites this January! The renowned International Kite Festival, organized by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, returns for its 5th edition, promising two days of cultural extravaganza and friendly competition.

Mark your calendars for January 27th and 28th, as an open field near Oxford College on Kusugal Road becomes the vibrant stage for this exciting event. Over 60 skilled kite flyers, representing 15 countries and India, will showcase their artistry and mastery, sending kites of all shapes, sizes, and colors dancing in the wind.

But the festivities extend far beyond just kites! The festival promises a delightful mix of activities for everyone. Witness the thrilling display of traditional wrestling, participate in fun and music competitions alongside fellow women, or watch your children unleash their creativity in the drawing competition for school students. Indulge in delicious treats at the food fest, and let the evenings come alive with live music concerts. Acclaimed singers like Arjun Janya and Sanchit Hegde will take the stage, ensuring an unforgettable musical experience.

The spirit of inclusion shines brightly at this festival, with 5,000 kites being distributed free of cost to children, sparking their joy and nurturing a love for this timeless tradition. Entry to the festival is completely free, inviting everyone to be a part of this vibrant celebration.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, the driving force behind this event, envisions it as a platform not just for cultural exchange but also for fostering community spirit and creating lasting memories. He expects a joyous crowd of 2 lakh people to come together over these two days, basking in the shared experience of soaring dreams and colorful skies.
