Hubballi: Nine Suffer Burn Injuries in Cylinder Blast

Hubballi: Nine devotees of Ayyappa Swami sustained burn injuries after a gas leak from an LPG cylinder led to a blast caused by a burning lamp. The incident occurred in Acchavana Colony, Sai Nagar, in the Unkal area, around 1:30 am on Monday.

Reports indicate that the blast was triggered by the flame of a lamp igniting gas from an LPG cylinder that had not been used for the past three to four days.

Prakash,32, Sustained 90% burns, ranging from superficial to deep flame burns, along with inhalation injuries. Shankar 28, Suffered 95-99% burns, including superficial to deep flame burns, and inhalation injuries. Tejas 26, Sustained 74% burns, including superficial to deep flame burns, inhalation injuries, and facial burns. Vinayak, 12, Suffered 20-25% burns, ranging from superficial to deep flame burns, along with inhalation injuries and facial burns. Manjunath 22, Sustained 70-75% burns, including superficial to deep flame burns, and inhalation injuries. Ajjaswami 58, Suffered 85-90% burns, ranging from superficial to deep flame burns, along with inhalation injuries.

Raju 21, Sustained 75% burns, including superficial to deep flame burns, and inhalation injuries.Praveen 24, Suffered 85-90% burns, ranging from superficial to deep flame burns, along with inhalation injuries. Sanjay 20, Sustained 90% burns, including superficial to deep flame burns, and inhalation injuries.

All the injured individuals have been admitted to the Burns Treatment Unit at KIMS Hospital (Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences), where they are undergoing treatment.
