The arrested individuals, identified as Farhan Sheikh, Mukesh alias Raju Yadav, Fatima Sheikh, Aftab Ahmed Sheikh, and Talat Sheikh, hail from Mumbai. Farhan Sheikh has 15 previous cases registered against him, while Fatima Sheikh is implicated in two additional cases. Police are still tracking down three more key suspects involved in the heist.

Three specialized teams were formed under the leadership of inspectors from Keshwapur, Gokul Road, and Kamaripeet police stations to crack the case. The police extensively reviewed CCTV footage, traced the suspects’ movements, and conducted a 20-day operation in Mumbai, which led to their arrest.
Among the recovered items were 780 grams of gold valued at ₹55 lakh, 23.3 kg of silver worth ₹17 lakh, ₹10,000 in cash, and a car worth ₹5 lakh. The total value of the recovered items stands at ₹77 lakh.
Police have urged jewelry store owners to enhance their security measures by adopting modern technology and secure lockers to prevent such incidents in the future.
Senior officers including DCPs Mahaning Nandgavi, Ravish C.R., ACPs Chikkamath, Shivaprakash Naik, and inspectors from Keshwapur, Gokul Road, and Kamaripeet stations were present during the press briefing.
