Hubballi-Dharwad’s Rainy Days Continue: Find Out When the Weather Will Clear!
Hubballi: Residents of Hubballi-Dharwad and neighboring districts hoping for sunny weather will have to wait a bit longer. The rain is expected to continue lashing the region for the next two days, with conditions likely to improve by October 20.
Speaking to Hubli Express, Dr. R.H. Patil, Principal Nodal Officer at the GKMS Unit, UAS Dharwad, stated that Hubballi-Dharwad, Belagavi, Haveri, and surrounding areas are likely to experience light to moderate rain over the next two days (until October 19), although the intensity will gradually decrease. The weather is expected to improve after October 20, with clearer skies and sunny conditions anticipated from October 23 onward.
The persistent rains have already affected the onion crop, and maize, which was ready for harvest, has also suffered as farmers have been unable to proceed due to the wet conditions. Rabi sowing has been delayed, with only 15% of the usual sowing completed so far. In many areas, resowing may be necessary due to waterlogged conditions. However, the paddy and sugarcane crops have not suffered significant damage from the ongoing rains, Dr. Patil added.
