Hubballi-Dharwad Bypass Road to Be Completed by June 2025: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi
Hubballi (Hubli Express News): The construction of the Hubballi-Dharwad Bypass Road is progressing swiftly with funding from the Central Government. The widening and upgrading work is expected to be completed by June 2025, said Pralhad Joshi, Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food, Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy.
After inspecting the construction work near Infosys on the Airport Road today, he addressed the media and stated that the railway bridge and Gabbur bridge on the bypass road will be completed by September 2025. Necessary service roads and underpasses are also being constructed along the highway to facilitate smoother travel for the public. Residents who have built houses along the highway in areas like Nekar Nagar and Tarihal have been asked to relocate, and compensation will be provided to them.
Welcoming Board for Hubballi City to Be Installed
A visually appealing “Welcome to Hubballi City” board will be installed at the entry point of the Hubballi-Dharwad Highway near Infosys on Airport Road. Additionally, a traffic circle with a fountain model will be constructed. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has been instructed to implement these enhancements, and the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation will also be involved in supporting the highway construction.
Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu G.R.J., Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar, District Superintendent of Police Dr. Gopal Byakod, DCP Ravish R., and NHAI Project Director Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, among other officials, were present on the occasion.
