Hubballi: 28-Year-Old Man Found Murdered on Outskirts

Hubballi: A 28-year-old man was found murdered on the outskirts of Hubballi on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Samuel, a pig farmer.

The incident occurred near the shed where he reared pigs on Gadag Road, within the jurisdiction of the Bendigeri Police Station. Police Commissioner N. Shashikumar stated that the motive for the murder is yet to be ascertained. However, the police have leads in the case and have already detained two suspects. The commissioner expressed confidence that the case will be solved soon.

The murder is believed to have taken place on Thursday night. The police received information about the incident around 1:30 a.m. When the night duty officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the body. A subsequent visit to the spot revealed that the victim had likely been lured to the location and murdered by the perpetrators.

“It appears to be a premeditated act,” said Commissioner Shashikumar, adding that the accused would be apprehended and brought to justice at the earliest.
