Honesty on the Road: NWKRTC Staff Return Lost Bag Containing Valuables Worth Over Rs. 1.5 Lakh
Hubballi: In an inspiring display of integrity, NWKRTC driver M.H. Peer Khan and conductor M.V. Hiremath returned a bag containing gold jewelry, silver items, and Rs. 220 in cash to its rightful owner, Mahadevi Jagadish Yalavatti.
The bag had been accidentally left behind on their bus during Yalavatti’s journey from Hubli to Gunjal. The diligent staff used an Aadhaar card to contact the family and return the valuables, which were valued at over Rs. 1.5 lakh. The passengers expressed their deep gratitude, and NWKRTC officials praised the employees’ honesty.
Divisional Controller H Ramangoudar, Depot manager BK Nagaraj, technical engineer PY Gadad, Divisional Traffic Officer KL Guddenavar and others were present.
