Heroic BMTC Driver Pulls Over Bus Before Succumbing to Heart Attack

Bengaluru: A tragic and heroic incident unfolded today (November 6) at the Binnamangala bus stop in Nelamangala Town. A BMTC bus driver despite suffering severe heart attack while on duty, managed to pull the bus over to the side  of the road and succumbed just a few moments later.

40-year-old BMTC driver Kiran Kumar, a resident of Hassan, collapsed from a sudden heart attack while on duty. Kumar, who had been driving a bus assigned to the Dasanapura Depot in North Taluk, showed remarkable presence of mind in his final moments.

Despite the overwhelming medical emergency he was facing, Kumar managed to pull the bus over to the side of the road, ensuring the safety of the passengers onboard before he succumbed to the heart attack. His swift action likely saved many lives, preventing the bus from veering off course or causing further harm. Conductor  Obalesh, rushed him to the hospital immediately, but Kumar had already passed away by the time they arrived at the hospital.

Kiran Kumar had been driver for BMTC for six years A case has been registered at the Nelamangala Town Police Station, and investigations are underway.
