On Thursday, Israel’s Foreign Minister, Israel Katz, confirmed that Yahya Sinwar, a senior Hamas leader, was killed by Israeli forces during an operation in Gaza.

In a statement shared with foreign ministers across the globe, Katz confirmed Sinwar’s death, stating, “The brutal mastermind behind the October 7 massacre, Yahya Sinwar, was eliminated today by IDF soldiers,” according to his office.
