GOAT to Screen Late Night as TN Government Greenlights Special Showtimes
Hyderabad: Thalapathy Vijay‘s highly anticipated film, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), is poised to take the box office by storm with its release scheduled for tomorrow, September 5. Directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment, this film is creating buzz among fans and industry insiders alike.
In a move to accommodate eager audiences, the Tamil Nadu government has approved special early morning screenings, allowing fans to catch the first show at 9 a.m. Additionally, continuous screenings will run from 9 a.m. until 2 a.m., providing a full day of cinematic experience for Vijay’s supporters.
GOAT, boasting an impressive budget of approximately Rs 400 crore, is one of the most expensive films of 2024. Vijay takes on dual roles as both a father and son, promising action-packed entertainment with several exciting cameos. The film features a stellar cast, including notable names such as Prashanth, Prabhudeva, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, and Meenakshi Chaudhary, enhancing the film’s appeal.
The film’s music, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, has already made waves, with the release of the fourth single expected soon. Rated U/A by the CBFC, GOAT has a runtime of nearly three hours and will be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, ensuring it reaches a diverse audience.
Ahead of its release, GOAT has already made an impressive mark, with nearly 1 million tickets sold in advance for its opening day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has surpassed Rs 50 crore in worldwide advance bookings, marking Vijay’s second consecutive film to achieve this remarkable feat following the success of last year’s Leo.
