Father Attempts to Conceal Son’s Murder as Suicide, Foiled by Police Investigation

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident in Basaveshwar Nagar, Bengaluru, the police have apprehended a father, Prakash, who stands accused of murdering his son, Yogish, and attempting to portray it as suicide. The victim, a degree student, was reportedly strangled to death by his father.

Sources indicate that Prakash was distressed by his son’s alcohol addiction, leading to frequent quarrels between them. The breaking point occurred on March 6, when a heated argument escalated, resulting in Prakash allegedly strangling his son.

In an attempt to deceive authorities, Prakash tried to stage the incident as a suicide. However, suspicions were raised by vigilant neighbors who doubted the father’s narrative. Subsequent investigations revealed a different story.

Upon receiving the post-mortem report, the Basaveshwar Nagar police arrested Prakash as it confirmed that Yogish was not a victim of suicide but had been deliberately killed.
