Aryan Bangar, son of former India all-rounder Sanjay Bangar, recently captured widespread attention with a stunning revelation on social media. Aryan, who now identifies as a trans woman and goes by the name Anaya, shared her experiences on Instagram, including the impact of hormone replacement therapy. Anaya, whose Instagram username has also been updated, shared that she underwent sex reassignment surgery eleven months ago.

In a separate post from August 23, Anaya opened up about her deep connection to cricket and the emotional journey she’s facing as the sport begins to feel “distant” after her transition. She expressed admiration for her father, who represented India in 12 Test matches and 15 ODIs and later served as India’s batting coach from 2014 to 2018.

“Cricket has been an integral part of my life since childhood,” Anaya wrote, reflecting on how she admired her father’s journey as a player and coach. “Watching him play and coach India inspired me to follow in his footsteps. Cricket became my passion, my goal, and my future. I dedicated myself to mastering the game, dreaming of representing my country someday, just like my father.”
