NEW DELHI: Karnataka’s Congress government initiated a non-political protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding a fair allocation of resources and funds from the Centre.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah emphasized the protest’s focus on the state’s interests. He expressed optimism about a positive response from the Centre, highlighting the need to rectify perceived injustices in resource distribution.

Despite potential disregard, Siddaramaiah affirmed the commitment to continue the fight and involve the people. Responding to BJP’s counter-protest, he argued that Karnataka’s disproportionate tax contribution warranted equitable returns.

Siddaramaiah also defended the demand for a White Paper on central grant utilization, suggesting the upcoming budget would serve that purpose.
