Crane Theft Solved: Hubballi Rural Police Nab Accused After 220-KM Chase

Hubballi: The Hubballi Rural Police have cracked a mobile crane theft case reported on April 27 by arresting the accused and recovering the stolen vehicle.

Saifulla Kamalsaheb Mulla, a resident of Nandagad in Khanapur taluk, allegedly stole the 2,200-kg hydraulic crane from the Tarihal Industrial Area. To avoid detection, he drove through remote village roads instead of highways.

A police team led by Inspector Murugesh Channannavar tracked and nabbed the accused near Yellapur in Uttara Kannada district after a 220-kilometer chase.

SP Dr. Gopal Byakod praised the swift efforts of the investigating team and technical staff involved in the operation.
