CM Siddaramaiah Hints at Upcoming Hike in Milk Prices
Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has signaled the likelihood of another hike in milk prices, citing concerns about the financial well-being of dairy farmers. “Farmers engaged in dairy production are not seeing any profits. There’s been growing pressure from various groups to raise the price of milk by ₹5 per liter,” he stated. The chief minister mentioned that an upcoming meeting will address this issue, aiming to make a decision in favor of farmers.
Siddaramaiah made these remarks during an event inaugurating several developmental projects in Magadi, Ramanagara district, on Friday. He also noted that there has been a call to provide cooperative societies with an additional 20 paise per liter of milk. A decision on this matter is expected soon, according to his comments to the media.
