CM Reddy Asks Sonia Gandhi to Contest from Telangana

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, held discussions with Congress leader Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Monday evening.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Reddy urged Sonia Gandhi to consider contesting in the upcoming Parliament elections from Telangana.

Expressing gratitude on behalf of the state, Reddy emphasized the desire of the Telangana community to have Sonia Gandhi or a member of the Gandhi family represent them in Parliament. While it remains uncertain whether Sonia Gandhi agreed to the request, the Chief Minister remains hopeful about a positive outcome.

This marks the first meeting between Reddy, Vikramarka, and Sonia Gandhi since the Congress government assumed office in Telangana.
