Vijayawada: In a tense moment on Thursday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu narrowly avoided a potentially fatal accident with a speeding train while inspecting flood-hit areas. The incident occurred on the Madhura Nagar railway bridge, where the CM had stopped to assess the flooding.

The railway bridge, built exclusively for train use, offers very limited space for pedestrians, making the situation particularly dangerous. As Naidu walked along the tracks, an unexpected train approached from the same direction.

Thanks to the quick reflexes of his security team, Naidu was pulled aside just in time, narrowly avoiding the train that passed by within inches. The CM was unharmed.

Naidu has been on a five-day tour of flood-affected regions, often disregarding safety protocols in his determination to meet affected citizens. He has been wading through floodwaters and even joining National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel in rescue boats to reach stranded communities.
