BY Vijayendra Calls for CM Siddaramaiah’s Resignation Following Governor’s Sanction
Bengaluru: Following Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s sanction for prosecution against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah under Section 17 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 218 of the Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Samhita, 2023, in connection with the alleged MUDA scam, BJP state unit president BY Vijayendra has taken to Twitter demanding CM Siddaramaiah’s resignation.
In a tweet, Vijayendra stated, “The Governor has exercised his constitutional authority to authorize legal action on the MUDA scam complaint against the Chief Minister. Given the substantial evidence and serious allegations of corruption and favoritism within the Congress government, it is imperative that the Chief Minister steps down. Resigning would facilitate a transparent and impartial investigation, uphold the dignity of the Chief Minister’s office, and ensure that justice is served.”
