Bengaluru: Sampige Theater Owner’s House Robbed; Trusted Staff Behind Shocking Theft

Bengaluru: The Jayanagar police have arrested a Nepali couple who allegedly robbed a house after rendering the owner unconscious.

A theft occurred on October 21 at the residence of Nagesh, the owner of Sampige Theater, located in Jayanagar 3rd Block. Gold jewelry and cash were stolen, and a case was registered at the Jayanagar police station.

The accused, Ganesh and Geeta, a couple from Nepal, had been working in Nagesh’s household for the past two years. On October 20, Nagesh’s family members went to a relative’s event, leaving him alone at home. During this time, the accused allegedly rendered Nagesh unconscious and fled with 1 kg of gold jewelry and ₹2 lakh in cash.

After registering the case and launching an investigation, the police tracked down the accused in Mumbai using CCTV footage and mobile network data. The Jayanagar police reported that further questioning of the suspects is underway.
