Bengaluru Boy Dies After Seven-Foot Gate Falls on Him at Popular Park
Bengaluru: An 11-year-old boy tragically lost his life on Sunday after a seven-foot iron gate collapsed on him at Raja Shankara Park, managed by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) in Bengaluru‘s Malleshwaram, according to local authorities.
Niranjan was enjoying a day out with a friend when the gate, described as “loosely held,” toppled over as he attempted to open it. His companion, who had accompanied him on a bicycle, narrowly escaped injury. However, Niranjan sustained a severe head trauma along with considerable blood loss. Despite being rushed to KC General Hospital for urgent medical care, he succumbed to his injuries.
The park, a favored destination for children, especially on weekends, is now the site of profound sorrow following this incident. Police have confirmed that the boy’s death resulted from injuries inflicted by the falling gate.
