Belagavi Army Trainers Die in Boat Capsize During Commando Training in Maharashtra

Belagavi: Two trainers attached to the Junior Leaders Wing of the Indian Army’s Commando School in Belagavi tragically drowned at Tillari Dam, located near Chandgad in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, on Saturday.
The officers, identified as Vijaykumar (28) from Rajasthan and Diwakar Roy (26) from West Bengal, were conducting river crossing exercises with junior officers when their boat capsized.

According to the Belagavi Camp police, both officers were unable to escape and drowned during the training session. The incident has shocked the training community at the prestigious institute, which specializes in preparing commandos for high-risk operations.
