Two individuals were successfully rescued from a yacht off the south coast of New South Wales, according to police reports. The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) received an emergency distress signal from a vessel located approximately 150 kilometers east of Nowra. The 19-meter yacht reportedly experienced mechanical failure and began taking on water.

Rescue operations were temporarily halted overnight due to severe weather conditions but resumed at dawn. Police confirmed that the man and woman were safely retrieved from the yacht, unharmed, at around 7:25 AM on Tuesday.
