Aravind Bellad Warns Presence of Foreign Nationals in Dharwad, Writes to Top Cop

Hubballi-Dharwad, May 18: Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Arvind Bellad has written a letter to Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar expressing suspicion that in several slum areas of Hubballi-Dharwad individuals- believed to be of foreign origin are roaming.

Bellad rasied concern over alleged presence of unidentified and suspicious individuals in several slum areas of Hubballi-Dharwad, including Jannat Nagar in Dharwad, as per the information he received. According to reports, these individuals—believed to be of foreign origin—are suspected to be residing in local mosques within these neighborhoods.

He has formally appealed to the Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner to take prompt action. In a letter addressed to the Commissioner, Bellad urged the police department to act with vigilance, verify the identities of the individuals in question, and take necessary steps to maintain public safety.

He highlighted the need for a proactive approach to prevent any potential law and order issues, urging authorities to ensure that no untoward incidents occur due to the presence of unidentified persons.
