Angelo Mathews becomes 1st cricketer to be timed out

Sri Lanka’s all-rounder, Angelo Mathews became the first international cricketer to be timed out. The MCC rulebook says a 3-minute limit for incoming batters to be ready after a dismissal, while the ODI World Cup 2023 Playing Conditions set a 2-minute limit.

His helmet strap was broken and he was waiting for a replacement, and the meantime, Shakib appealed and Mathews was declared out. Mathews walked in to bat after Sadeera Samarawickrama’s dismissal.
