Accident: Seven Killed, Dozens Injured in Car-Bus Collission
In a tragic incident early Sunday, a devastating collision between a double-decker bus and a car on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway claimed seven lives, according to reports from ANI. The accident occurred around 12:30 am, sending shockwaves through the region.
Sanjay Kumar Verma, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Etawah, provided details of the harrowing event. The ill-fated bus, carrying 60 passengers, was en route from Raebareli to Delhi when the crash took place. The impact was severe, resulting in the death of four bus occupants and leaving approximately 20-25 others with injuries. These wounded individuals have since been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
The car involved in the collision bore the brunt of the impact, with all three of its occupants losing their lives in the accident. This brought the total fatality count to seven.
