Pamela Chopra, the wife of the renowned director and producer the late Yash Chopra, passed away on Thursday in Mumbai at the age of 74.
The family announced her demise in the morning, and her final rites were performed at 11 am on the same day. Pamela Chopra was survived by her son, filmmaker Aditya Chopra, and actor Uday Chopra. Aditya Chopra is married to actress Rani Mukerji.
Pamela was a multifaceted artist who not only produced but also sang several hit songs in movies such as Kaala Patthar, Silsila, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Kabhie Kabhie. She was also a writer for Kabhie Kabhie and co-writer of the super hit film Dil To Pagal Hai. Yash Chopra, her husband, had passed away a few years ago at the age of 82.
