Hubballi: The Bendigeri police have arrested two robbers who looted a mini-van driver and a truck driver on Wednesday evening.
These two incidents reported on Wednesday morning, and the police were able to nab the accused by evening.
According to the police, the accused Vishal Bijawad, Karan Mundagod both residents of Gangadhar Nagar were involved in these two crimes. The police recovered Rs 36,000 from the accused which they looted from the drivers.
The police said that the accused followed a minivan on their bike and waylaid the vehicle near ITC Godown on Gadag Road and snatched Rs 34,000 from the driver threatening him.
The minivan driver Krishna from Ballari was returning to his city after selling dry chillies at the APMC in the city. In the second incident, the same accused in the same modus operandi snatched away Rs 4,000 from a truck driver, said the police.
