Vijayapura: The BJP National President JP Nadda will kick start the nine-day state wide Vijaya Sankalpa Yatre from Vijayapura on Saturday (January 20).
With the state’s Assembly elections coming up in around four months, the BJP has stepped up its electoral campaign by commencing a nine-day public outreach drive from Vijayapura.
The campaign comes two days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Yadgir and Kalaburagi, where he unveiled irrigation, drinking water, and transportation projects as well as distributed land title deeds to Lambanis.
Nadda would arrive in Kalaburagi on a special flight on Saturday morning and travel to Vijayapura to pay respect to Sri Siddheshwara Mahaswamiji, who died recently, according to sources.
The BJP president will thereafter travel to Nagathana Assembly constituency to officially launch the Vijaya Sankalpa Yatra.

According to party insiders, the Yatra would include a door-to-door campaign as well as a BJP membership push to enhance the party’s booth base.
The BJP plans to enlist nearly one crore new party workers over the nine-day state-wide campaign, which will begin in Vijayapura.
