Kuldeep Yadav, a spinner for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2022, has been picked in India’s team for the five-match T20I series against South Africa. Kuldeep was ruled out on the eve of the first T20I after being smacked on the right hand while batting in the nets on Tuesday. On Thursday, the spinner expressed his disappointment at missing out on the series and expressed his desire to return stronger.

Kuldeep played every game for Delhi in the recently concluded IPL, taking 21 wickets at an average of 19.95 and an economy rate of 8.44.
Due to a right groin injury, both Kuldeep and captain KL Rahul have been ruled out of the series against South Africa.
As a result, wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was named captain and Hardik Pandya was named vice-captain for the home series against South Africa by the All-India Senior Selection Committee.
