Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on said that he would continue in the post as long as the party high command has confidence in him. In the last few days, the buzz of change of guard in the state has been doing the rounds including in media.
He said on Sunday that “ The day they will say they don’t want me, I will resign.” The chief minister was replying to a question on rumours of replacing him doing rounds in the state.
The party high command has given me an opportunity to serve the people of Karnataka and I am trying my best to use the chance for good. And I left to rest for the high command to decide,” he said.
His relationship with party high command is not good. The demand for leadership change grew louder after the party tasted a defeated in Maski- by-poll. Despite using all the strength, the party could win Belagavi Lok Sabha by poll with a thin margin. Many leaders are not happy with the style of functioning of Yediyurappa claiming that his family members are intervening in the government affairs.
