What Shettar said about continuing lockdown in the state?



Hubballi: Minister for Large and Medium scale Industries Jagadish Shettar has said that in the state and as well as in the district, the Covid positivity rate is on a declining trend despite strict measures the positivity rate is at 16 percentage once it continues to dip further a decision on removing the lockdown would be taken by the Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, Shettar said the decision on relaxing the lockdown norms or removing it would be taken only after June 7 and people have to wait till then.

The lockdown in the state would continue for the next eight days and during this period the positivity rate may increase or decrease hence it is not appropriate to discuss the lockdown. “Let us wait for another week,” said Shettar.
