Weekend curfew returns in the state

To prevent the spread of novel Coronavirus in the state from neighbouring Maharashtra and Kerala, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has declared a weekend curfew in all border districts.

He stated that specific rules would be released shortly, adding that the state government has also decided to prolong the night curfew, which is now in effect in all 30 districts. The night curfew will now be enforced from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. every day. Previously, it began at 10 p.m.

The meeting took place in Bengaluru. Dr Devi Shetty was present. Members of the state’s Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), including Dr C N Manjunath and Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar, were also in attendance.
