Weather Update: According to the latest rainfall forecast by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), the Southern Interior Karnataka (SIK) region is likely to experience scattered to widespread very light to moderate rains, with isolated heavy to very heavy rains possible during the forecast period of April 25 at 8.30 am to April 26 at 8.30 am. The Malnad and Northern Interior Karnataka (NIK) regions (parts of Vijayapura, Bagalkote, Raichur, Ballari, Koppal) are also expected to receive scattered and Kalaburgi, Bidar expected to receive widespread very light to moderate rainfall during the same period, with no mention of heavy downpours.
The KSNDMC ruled out any possibility of rain in Dharwad, Belagavi, Haveri and Dakshina Kannada district.
On the other hand, the coastal region is forecasted to experience partly cloudy weather, with isolated very light rains possible. It is important to note that the rainfall forecast is subject to change, and people living in these regions are advised to keep themselves updated on any developments and be prepared for possible weather-related disruptions.
