Hubballi: Residents of North Karnataka can expect temporary relief from the blistering heat as pre-monsoon showers are predicted to hit the region from April 6 to April 8. According to weather experts, parts of Dharwad district, Uttar Kannada, the coastal area, Belagavi, Bagalkot, and Vijayapura may experience scattered rainfall during this period.
Dr RH Patil, the principal nodal officer of GKMS Unit UAS Dharwad, confirmed the forecast and stated that although some areas may receive pre-monsoon showers, temperatures will continue to rise in large parts of North interior Karnataka.
The maximum temperature in the Dharwad district reached 37 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and is expected to hit 39 degrees Celsius by March 12, as reported by weather.com.
