Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council, senior politician Basavaraj Horatti will join BJP on May 11. He met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Taj West End in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
All the news doing rounds that he joined BJP was wrong and he would join the party in a grand manner and at programme would be held, said his close associates to Hubli Express.
As the leaders of twin cities and Dharwad district including Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar accompanied him during the meeting, it is quite clear that Horatti will join the BJP and he may contest next election from the party.
