Hubballi: Most of the patients start feeling sad, anxious when they hear that they tested positive for Covid-19, feel that something worst might happen to them. But according to the doctors, not all patients require hospitalization. What they need is a positive atmosphere and basic treatment for the infection.
The Dharwad district administration has started isolation centres at 66 Gram Panchayats and these centres taking good care of the mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic patients.
To beat the Covid blues, the staff at the isolation centres make the patients remain engaged, active with a nutritious diet, medication.
At Anchatgeri Covid Centre, patients were seen doing exercise, yoga and meditation to remain fit on Monday. The patients took part in the yoga and exercise session under the guidance of Dr Sampath Singh Rangawale.
Dr Sampath Singh, who is also in charge of patients under home isolation, leads teams of doctors to ensure that each patient in isolation is being properly monitored and proper health check-up was done on the patient. His team did exemplary work during the first wave of the Covid pandemic.
