New Delhi: In a swift and powerful response to attempted drone strikes by Pakistan on the night of May 8 and 9, 2025, the Indian Army launched a coordinated fire assault targeting terrorist launchpads near the Line of Control (LoC), effectively destroying them, according to an official statement from the Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI).
In a tweet, the ADGPI shared this information and also shared a video.
The Army’s action came after multiple Pakistani drone activities were reported across several cities in Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. The targeted launchpads, long known to be hubs for orchestrating cross-border terrorist activities, were “pulverized and razed to cinders” in the operation.
“These locations had served as operational bases for planning and executing attacks against Indian civilians and security forces,” the Army said. “This decisive strike has delivered a major blow to the terrorist infrastructure and their operational capabilities.”
