Hubballi: Vikas Soppin, leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, has advised the state government to proceed with caution in carrying out the Mahadayi project.
He stated that the Central Water Commission recently approved the Mahadayi project’s execution. The Goa government petitioned the Supreme Court to challenge this approval. However, the petition was denied by the court on Monday. This is a source of joy for the people of Karnataka. The Karnataka government, on the other hand, should get all statutory clearances without any haste and commence building work. With elections right around the corner, any event, even laying the foundation stone, might offer obstacles and hurdles to the overall project’s implementation. In this context, he added, the government must make a deliberate approach.
