Vijayapura: A 32-year-old mother died by suicide along with her three children in Vittal Wadi Tanda in Tikota taluk in the district on Saturday night.
According to local reports, the deceased have been named as Geetha Ramu Chouhan, Shrusti, 6, Samarth, 4, and Kishan, 3. Geetha and her husband Ramu fought on Saturday over some matter, according to reports, and she was unhappy after the argument. Geetha tossed all three of her children into a sump near her house as Ramu was deep sleeping, and she plunged in as well.
Tikota police have arrived at the spot and are investigating the incident.
