Vijayapura: In a shocking incident, unidentified gunmen opened fire at the husband of a corporator in Vijayapura city‘s Chandpur Colony during the early hours of Saturday.
Haider Ali Nadaf, the husband of Nishat, an independent member of the corporation from Ward No. 19, fell victim to the attack and lost his life. The accused managed to escape, and the police arrived at the crime scene to conduct an investigation. The shooting occurred in the Jalnagar police station jurisdiction.
The reason for the attack is not yet known, the investigation is going on, said the police.
