Hubballi: The Vidyanagar police have solved a housebreaking theft case and arrested two accused in connection with the case.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Prema Baddi and Ganesh Bochageri, both residents of the city. The police said that the duo broke into a flat in Green Hub Oak Tree during Dasara celebrations last year and stole valuables.

The police had formed a special team to solve this case, and on February 13, the crime staff of the Vidyanagar station got a definite tip-off about the accused, and they brought them to the station, where, during the inquiry, they confessed to the crime.

The police have recovered valuables worth Rs 8.32 lakh, which include gold ornaments, silver articles, mobile phones, and a moped used to execute the crime.
