Hubballi: The continuous rain that has been lashing the Twin Cities for the last 48 hours has hampered daily life. Holiday was announced for schools and colleges on May 20. People were doing their routine work, bracing for the rain. The rain, which had temporarily stopped, had been pouring since the morning, making it difficult for office workers to get to work.
The continuous downpour led to water logging and traffic jams in the city. In many areas, water entered their houses. Like every year, houses in Ganesh Nagar and Fateshwali Nagar are flooded with rainwater. Residents alleged that lack of proper storm water drains network for the problem. The entire area resembled a lake, and the owners of the houses had a tough time draining out the water.
