Hubballi: Demanding implementation of the Swaminathan Committee report, farmers blocked the national highway near Gabbur bypass.
The protesters blocked the road for around one hour. The protesters were led by farmer leader Siddu Teji.
Speaking on the occasion, farmer leader Siddu Teji said that the union government has decided to withdraw three draconian laws after much protest by the farmers. “We demand the Modi government to implement the Swaminathan Committee report and MSP for all the farm produce,” he said.
Kumar Hakari, Gopal Kulkarni, Basavaraj Varur, Rajshekhar Mensinkai, Basheer Mudhol, and others were present.
