Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is holding a crucial meeting virtually and discussing steps to be taken to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The CM, who went to Manipal Hospital for his health check-up, returned home, and he is holding a virtual meeting from his RT Nagar residence. Health Minister, Dr. K Sudhakar, Home Minister Araga Jnendra, health experts, and senior officials joined the CM in the meeting, and it is said that the state government is likely to take a few important decisions to curb the spread of the virus. According to reports, the CM is planning to announce special measures for districts where the COVID positivity rate has surpassed 5%.
