Hubballi: Congress party leader and former mayor Anil Kumar Patil sang a Bollywood classic in his own style and dedicated it to former AICC chief Rahul Gandhi, who is on the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Anilkumar Patil sang “Ruk Jana Nahin Tu Kahin Harke,” in his style with modified lyrics. He posted the video on his Facebook account. The song from Imtihan, sung by the legendary singer Kishore Kumar and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal, was a chartbuster and became one of the all-time greatest hits.
Anilkumar said he did not change the mukhada of the song but changed the remaining paragraphs and said he wrote those lines. He said he recorded the song in a local studio. Many of his followers admired his singing, and the video garnered 89,000 views in nine days.
