New Delhi: The Tiranga bike rally for MPs from all parties was flagged off on Wednesday from the Red Fort in Delhi by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi, and Piyush Goyal. The rally will conclude at Vijay Chowk in the national capital.
On the occasion of India’s 75th anniversary of independence on August 15, the central government started the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. To make flags more accessible to the people, the Indian Parliament recently modified India’s Flag Code, 2002, allowing the use of machine-made polyester national flags.
Hombale Films, producers of blockbuster movies KGF series took to Koo, supporting the campaign and wrote “Proud & honored to bring our identity, our pride, our Tiranga 🇮🇳 home! You too can show your commitment to the nation by hoisting the #NationalFlag in your homes from 13 to 15 Aug or pin it on harghartiranga.com #HarGharTiranga #ಪ್ರತಿಮನೆಯಲ್ಲೂರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಧ್ವಜ.”
