Arun Bali, known for his roles in television series such as Swabhimaan and the hit film 3 Idiots, died on Friday at the age of 79 at his Mumbai home.
Ankush, Bali’s son, informed that the late actor was suffering from Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease caused by communication failure between nerves and muscles, for which he was admitted to a hospital early this year. He said he was responding well to the treatment but passed away early this morning.
Bali appeared in many films, including hits like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Khalnayak, 3 Idiots, Barfi, Hey Ram, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Satya, Laal Singh Chaddha, Samrat Prithviraj, and Kedarnath. His last film, Goodbye, was released recently. It stars Amitabh Bachchan and Rashmika Mandanna.
