This morning, the Vande Bharat Express on the Gandhinagar-Mumbai route collided with a bull in Gujarat, the third such event in a month.
After the collision, which damaged the nose cone cover of the driver’s coach, the semi-high-speed train was halted for around 15 minutes.
The newly introduced train hit a cow near Anand station in Gujarat earlier this month, a day after hitting four buffaloes.
The most recent collision occurred at 8:17 a.m. at the Atul train station.
Such incidents with livestock are unavoidable, said Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and added that they have borne this in mind while designing the train.
