Washington: US First Lady Jill Biden has tested positive Covid-19, announced White House on Monday. President Joe Biden has tested negative for the virus.
Jill Biden, aged 72, is currently dealing with “only mild symptoms,” according to her office. She will be staying at the couple’s residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. It’s worth noting that this is her second positive Covid test, with the previous one occurring a year ago.
President Biden, who is 80 years old, underwent a Covid test on Monday evening, and the results came back negative, as confirmed by the White House. He will continue with regular testing and will closely monitor for any symptoms.
The United States has witnessed a recent surge in Covid cases and hospitalizations over the past few weeks.
