Hubballi: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will be in Hubballi and Dharwad on October 11. The Union Minister on that day will inaugurate the third entrance of the Hubballi Railway Station and will dedicate the renovated Dharwad Railway Station to the nation.
The minister will also flag off the much anticipated Hubballi-Delhi (Hazarath Nizamuddin) train on this occasion from Hubballi. He will also release a commemorative stamp in memory of Pt. Sawai Gandharva at Sawai Gandharva Hall, and will also dedicate the redeveloped Dharwad Railway Station.
The Hubballi-Nizamuddin railway, which would provide a direct link to the national capital, has been a long-awaited desire of the people of this region. Since the train stops at Kopargaon, nearest railway station to Shirdi will be very useful for the followers of Sai Baba. Before arriving in Delhi, the train will stop at Belagavi, Pune, Ahmadnagar, Itarsi, Bhopal, and Agra.
Pralhad Joshi, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister, indicated that the Hubballi-Nizamuddin express will operate on a weekly basis for the time being. He said he will make efforts to increase its frequency. Because the Nizamuddin railway station is presently exceedingly congested, getting a space for a daily train is quite difficult, he said.
